I am giving a presentation on Critical Public Histories: the role of public historians in the social construction of knowledge
Other speakers include Jerome de Groot and Andrew Flinn who have previously spoken at public history events. Some of the presentations seem to be in the ‘hidden from history’ mode but others seem to be about the process of history-making and the different forms this can take.
In other words it seems similar in several respects to the conferences I have organised over the past decade at Ruskin College. Unlike those conferences it is free!
The organisers are 2 PhD students: Fiona Cosson and Ian Gwinn.
